Though Sledgehammer did confirm that future DLCs will bring more War operations, it's still disappointing that we'll only be seeing two new ones at launch. The good news is that we'll be able to play War mode offline with bots, which fits perfectly with the mode's cinematic presentation.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is not officially slated to release until Friday, November 10, but the game's multiplayer is actually playable right now for people who preordered the game--at least offline. CharlieIntel reports that multiplayer is available now in Local Mode.

CharlieIntel discovered that players can access Local Mode by backing out after pressing the prompt to connect to servers. Players will see a "Connection Failed" message, at which point they can follow the prompts to play offline in local play.

Modern Warfare III's Zombies mode, however, is apparently not playable in an offline state in this manner. War Mode, however, is said to be operational offline. War Mode is a large-scale battle mode that hasn't been seen in Call of Duty since 2017's Call of Duty: WWII.

With DCS World 2.5.1 we have implemented new OFFLINE mode.

To transfer DCS to OFFLINE mode, click on the antenna button in the top panel of the main menu. This can be done ONLY after successful authorization. You cannot enable OFFLINE mode unless you have an internet connection first.

Click to see how to enter Offline mode.

User can turn on OFFLINE mode that allows the game to be used without internet identification and without a time limit.

If you don't want to play Multiplayer game, no need to enable OFFLINE mode.

if you are already in OFFLINE mode, you can turn it off.

Click to see how to exit Offline mode.

Note: user must turn off OFFLINE mode on the same PC*. OFFLINE mode cannot be turned off from another PC even with the same user's login.

 * on the same PC - it means exactly the same for both hardware and software. For example, changing BIOS or reinstalling Windows in offline mode will not allow you to log in.

The mode is unlimited in time, thus all network services (Manager of Modules, multiplayer, news) will be inaccessible.

More information you can find on forums: =207670

If you get an error "Cannot exit offline mode due to hardware ID change"

that means you are no longer able to play DCS.

Also you can't enable or disable OFFLINE mode in DCS World

In this case You need to Create a support ticket

Please note that offline mode will not be available if there are trial modules.

WARMODE 26.12.2016 was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The software is included in Games. The most popular versions among the software users are 26.12.2016, 5.2 and 4.6. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. This free program is an intellectual property of WarTeam. The program's installer file is commonly found as warmode.exe.

As pictured above the offline mode in Escape From Tarkov has many customisable options. Each of these is explained below and can be configured as desired to create the ideal offline mode experience for your goals.

While it was not possible to play with friends in offline mode in the past BattleStateGames added this feature in patch 12.12.30 (June 2022). This feature is currently limited to Edge of Darkness edition players only although may change in the future. This mode retains the current offline limitations which means you cannot keep loot or experience. Players can select spawn locations though which allows you to either start as a group or separately on the map.

There have been some bugs with Scavs not spawning in offline mode that have appeared from time to time and there is currently one impacting this that you are probably encountering. Hopefully BSG is able to fix this soon and the best place for updates is either reddit or the official forums.

On the general issue of how to deal with such cases, I believe you are totally right to try to keep everything said about one user's behaviour in one place, be in "/ban" or Community case: or Shun:. I totally oppose Wales' suggestion that somehow this be kept offline and dealt with only by him. That is just retaining the Wikipedia:GodKing role, and worse, it means no way to respond to lies advanced maybe by multiple cooperating parties - a sort of Wiki-police-state with a Wiki-Stasi. Although I also don't support the idea of a "community" consisting solely of people who bicker with no process making any serious decision, I do not think this is necessarily what happens when one has an open forum to expose behaviours in one place - so they can be seen to be consistent or not. Either deliberative democracy works, or it does not. If it does, then, there must be a place to deliberate. And it must be a wiki place not a mailing list place. So I encourage you to keep pushing for a standard for a common place to discuss these things so it does not spread all over. EofT be457b7860
