This is star 3 in Strange Sands from Djonk's Junk. Absolutely the hardest star I've gotten from this level now, despite the huge cheese. Near the top of the star 5 path, at 3:18 there is a huge skip I do where you jump down all the way to the top of the blue tower, and this is where the real star path starts. And my god is this path brutal.
To my surprise, after finding many setups and understanding the intricacies of the section, the spinning platforms were actually consistent, albeit very hard. From there, you have to do the crystal tower which I did in a very strange way as it was most consistent for me. The problem with this method is that your slope kicks can be eaten and you may have too little speed in order to run up, leading you to fall down. I did have a fair amount of deaths here. Then we have the ending pyramids, which are absolute brutality. The issue here is that for the black pyramids near the start, it is very hard to see and you can easily mistake your positioning. And then at the white pyramids, they're so incredibly tiny that I have to do weird slope kicks while directing my speed backwards in order to have more time on the platforms. To top it all off, at the very last jump dive, there is an astronomically low chance that your jump can be eaten. And of course, I had an attempt where it got eaten and I died. Right there at the end. Beautiful game.
It does feel a little unfortunate that I needed such a drastic cheese to get the star, but trust me, the intended path is just too much lol
Regardless of its insane difficulty, this might honestly be my favorite star in the level (along with this level being one of my favorite in general), due to how insanely unique these jumps are. These jumps are simply just too ambitious to be found in any other kaizo hack, and I honestly respect it quite a bit. ~SomeBro
