The Kyotentai was formed in 1977 to reconsider Surrealism, the movement in literature and visual art in 20th century, with some updates concerning modern society and technology. The group consists of variety of members, such as artist, TV producer, composer, violinist and designer etc., and the member were always changed each time it happened. Kyotentai halted in 1983 and resumed their activity in 2015, and has had a number of exhibitions and performances.
This time, we have an exhibition with the regular member of Kito Syun, Sasaoka Takeshi, Shibatsuji Hidehiko and new member of Okamoto Nakako, Hayashi Keisuke and Myoukai Yousuke. We will practice and explore new perspective of Surrealism by quoting the poem "Encounter of a sewing machine and the umbrella on the dissection stand" by a count Lautréamont, at the counter bar in an old Sushi restaurant.
