Hello,
Welcome to my webpage!
I am a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Studies and Policy, Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore. Under the guidance of Prof. Krishna Raj, I am currently engaged in my doctoral research titled "Asymmetric Information in Higher Education in India: A Study of Screening, Signaling, and Inequality in Access." My academic interests here converge at the intersection of Microeconomic Theory and Behavioural Economics. Through my work, I analyse the doctoral admission procedure from the perspective of information asymmetry.
Alongside my core research, I am actively interested in Development Economics. This involves studying the correlation between income inequality and development and analysing the implications of persistent inequality. I am also intrigued by explorations in labour economics, especially relating to sustainable employment solutions and health economics, and government management of health-related emergencies like COVID-19.
I am a staunch believer in a mix of theory and empirics in finding answers to important questions in Economic Sciences. Thus, I continue to train myself with empirical tools while growing my base in theory.
