Kahoot Hacker Auto Answer ("we", "our", or "the extension") values and respects your personal privacy. 2. DETAILED EXPLANATION OF REQUESTED PERMISSIONS

Kahoot Hacker Auto Answer only requests two specific permissions in its Manifest V3 configuration:
1. "storage"
• What it does: Allows the extension to read and write small key-value settings to Chrome's local storage sandbox on your computer.
• Why it is needed:
- Remembers your configured Response Delay (e.g. 1500ms) so you don't have to reconfigure it every time you open the extension.
- Stores your chosen Answer Mode ('smart', 'fast', 'human', or 'random').
- Keeps track of your quiz session counters (total questions answered, correct answers, and accuracy percentage).
- Remembers your preferences for "Auto-start on join" and "In-game HUD pill".
• Data location: All settings stay strictly inside your local browser profile and are never synced to any outside database.
2. "https://kahoot.it/*" (Host Permission)
• What it does: Grants permission for the content script to run exclusively on pages hosted at kahoot.it.
• Why it is needed:
- Enables the extension to detect active question elements and click answer buttons during a live game session.
- Enables the in-game floating status HUD to indicate whether auto-answering is active.
• Scope: This permission is domain-locked strictly to "https://kahoot.it/*" and cannot inspect or affect any other web address.

• Why not eliminate "storage"?
Without the "storage" permission, every time you close the popup or restart Chrome, your preferred response speed, chosen answer mode, and accumulated question statistics would be lost. The "storage" API ensures a seamless user experience without accessing any sensitive files.
• Why not eliminate "https://kahoot.it/*"?
Without host permissions for kahoot.it, Chrome will block the extension from interacting with quiz buttons on the page, making automated quiz assistance technically impossible.
• Noticeably OMITTED invasive permissions:
✓ NO "<all_urls>" or "*://*/*" (we do not monitor the internet).
✓ NO "tabs" permission (we do not read tab histories or inspect other open tabs).
✓ NO "webRequest" (we do not intercept network traffic).
✓ NO "cookies" (we never access session cookies or login credentials).
✓ NO "geolocation" or "identity" (we do not know who or where you are).
