Hi there~

I'm Kaheon Kim(Pronunciation), and I am using my English name Randy for my Grubhub order.

I am a 1st year Ph.D. student in Statistics at the University of Notre Dame at the department of ACMS(Applied Computational Mathematics and Statistics), aiming to do diverse research centered on statistics and probability theory. Fortunately, I am being advised by Professor Changbo Zhu and I am looking forward to investigating optimal transport model to target distributional time series data. My research would be a good reference for future machine learning or mathematical projects, hopefully.

Before my doctoral study, I was an undergraduate student majoring in mathematical science and industrial engineering at UNIST(Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology) in Korea. I was interested in combining concepts in scientific computing and deep learning to develop mathematically data-driven models for predictive/generative purposes.

Also, I sincerely eager to apply my background in mathematics, such as topology, geometry and dynamics, to analyze several algorithms. I believe it would be essential for my intuition, which is the reason why I am really driven to study more advanced topics during my Ph.D. degree!

I really pursue personal development whether it is on academics, practical skills or social relationships. That's the reason why I love to make conversations with ones who are highly motivated regardless of their interests and engagements.

If you are willing to communicate with me, please contact me through my e-mail or Linkedin; you can see the address on the bottom of the page!
