Being reflective in the practice of school counseling and as a professional allows for more refinement. When we reflect on what has happened and what can be done moving forward there is more progress. In school counseling, situations that we encounter require delivery of services to support students. While we do this with the best interest of our students in mind, we have to reflect on what was done and what maybe needs to be adjusted for next time. Continuing to improve our professional practice takes learning throughout that process and reflection needs to be a main part of that process. The following assignments highlight the professional disposition of reflection.
