---------- Notices (11/01/2025) ----------
1. Tuition discount $10 per lesson from the regular tuition rate for the second child in a family taking classes here, effective from November 2025 through October 2026, except summer classes and special short training programs.
2. The tuition rate varies. It is determined before the class starts. A tuition rate agreed with will not change until the course ends. It is the same for in-person or on-line lessons. Here are the current rates.
Singapore Math grade K - 3: 40 minutes
$32 (Class has 3 or more students), $44 (2 students), 1-on-1: $80.
Singapore Math grade 4 - 5: 50 minutes
$40 (Class has 3 or more students), $55 (2 students), 1-on-1: $100.
Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra_2&Trig, AMC 8, AMC 10: 50 minutes
$50 (3 or more ), $65 (2 students), 1-on-1: $110 .
Precalc Honors, AP Calculus A/B & B/C, AP Physics, AP Statistics: 50 minutes
$55 (3 or more ), $70 (2 students), 1-on-1: $120.

----- Location, Prerequisites, Classroom rules, and Quitting -----
1. The classroom is located one mile east of Westgate Center Mall.
2. Every group class requires readiness in math, English, and general maturity. Group classes do not accept students who need special care.
3. No electronic devices are allowed during lessons unless used for classwork, emergencies, or answering a parent’s call.
4. Parents are welcome to stay in the classroom, but please do not scold or blame your child during class.
5. A new student in an annual group class may withdraw after the first lesson without any charge. After that, a student may quit at the end of any month after paying the tuition owed. Short training programs and one-on-one tutoring are exceptions.
----- Other Important Information -----
1. Lessons are held in-person in the classroom, with Zoom also available.
2. Group classes are conducted in English only. In one-on-one lessons, Mandarin may be used if needed.
3. These courses do not offer official school credits, and your school may or may not recognize them.
4. Tuition fees are not tax-deductible unless the course is arranged through the student's school.
5. I do not contact your schools or teachers unless you ask me to. Please do not use the knowledge and skills learned here to argue with your school teachers.
----- About the teacher -----
I am "Teacher Math Chen", the only instructor here. I was originally a student in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Science and Technology of China, and after graduating I stayed on as a faculty member. I hold a PhD in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame， and taught in the mathematics department at Minnesota State University Moorhead for 26 years, including 6 years as department chair. I have been tutoring math, statistics, and physics for more than ten years.
