Presently I am working as a "DST-SERB National Post-Doctoral Fellow" at Advanced Computation and Data Sciences Division, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam, India, under the mentorships of Prof. G. Narahari Sastry, Former Director CSIR-NEIST, Professor IIT Hyderabad (Recipient of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize) and Dr. Lakshi Saikia, Principal Scientist, CSIR-NEIST .
I have worked as a "Post-Doctoral Fellow" at Advanced Computation and Data Sciences Division, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam, India, under the supervision of Prof. G. Narahari Sastry, Director CSIR-NEIST (Recipient of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize) (Tenure Duration: 07/09/2022-18/03/2024).

Biosketch
Dr. Jyotirmoy Deb passed the H.S.L.C examination from Nehru Higher Secondary School, Pailapool, Cachar, Assam, India in the year 2006. He completed his H.S.S.L.C in science stream in the year 2008 from Gurucharan College, Silchar, Assam, India after that he did his B.Sc in Physics from the same college in the year 2012. He received the M.Sc degree securing 1st class 1st position in Physics from Assam University, Silchar, Assam, India in the year 2014. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the same University under the guidance of Dr. Utpal Sarkar in the year 2023. Presently he is working as a DST-SERB National Post-Doctoral Fellow at CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam, India under the mentorship of Prof. G. Narahari Sastry and Dr. Lakshi Saikia. His research interest lies in the field of density functional theory (DFT), electronic structure calculations, nanostructure simulations, chemical reactivity parameters, designing novel materials for optoelectronics, energy storage, electrocatalyst and gas sensing applications, integration of data-driven approaches with quantum simulation for screening and designing novel materials with potential applications, software and database development, etc. . He has published 39 articles in highly reputed journals of International standards apart from this he has 11 conference proceedings, 9 book chapters with more than 1310 citations and 24 h-index. One of the article has been recognized as a top cited article by Wiley. Many of his articles have been recommended by ACS as “Recommended Reading articles”. In addition, he secured the 44th AIR in the CSIR-UGC-NET examination. He received many awards such as “DST-SERB National Post-Doctoral Fellowship Award”, “DST-INSPIRE (JRF & SRF) Award”, “University Gold Medal Award”, “Merit Prize Award”, “KIRON BALA BHATTACHARJEE MEMORIAL Endowment Award”, “Best Oral Presentation Award” in ICSPPCB-2023, “Best Talk Award” in Sc.RECON-1.0 and “Best Poster Award” in ICSPPCB-2018. He is also working as a regular reviewer in many internationally reputed journals and Review Editor of the Theoretical and Computational Chemistry section of "Frontiers in Chemistry" journal and the editor of the journal of "International Journal of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry". He received a membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and Physics Academy of North East (PANE).
