If you want reliable wired audio for active Zoom calls and gym sessions, choose JVC HAEB75S; if you need a wireless, ultra-thin solution designed specifically for side sleeping and ambient noise masking, choose Lavince Sleep Headphones.
• JVC HAEB75S: Strength is its secure, splash-proof clip design with powerful 13.5 mm drivers; the trade-off is being tethered by a wired connection. Best for: Active users who need durability during workouts or commutes.
• Lavince Sleep Headphones: Strength is the Bluetooth 5.4 wireless freedom and ultra-thin profile for side sleepers; the trade-off is a headband form factor that limits movement compared to earbuds. Best for: People who prioritize falling asleep quickly without ear pressure.
The JVC HAEB75S is built around the concept of "get it on and forget it." The standout feature here is the adjustable clip mechanism, which secures the headphones directly to your clothing rather than relying on friction in your ear canal alone. This makes it an ideal candidate for anyone who needs best bluetooth headphones for zoom calls while moving around their home office or commuting. Because the earpiece shape is a hook that sits securely, the risk of them falling out during a sudden turn or a burst of activity is significantly lower than standard in-ear models.
The audio performance relies on a powerful 13.5 mm neodymium driver, which pushes out dynamic sound across a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. This length gives you just enough slack to move between rooms without pulling the device off your shirt, but it keeps you grounded to a single power source via the 3.5 mm jack. If you are looking for wireless headphones for zoom calls, this isn't the path, but if you need a stable, wired connection that won't die mid-meeting, the JVC excels.
You should buy this if you have sensitive ears that dislike the feeling of deep insertion, or if you work out in environments where sweat is a concern. The splash-proof rating means accidental water exposure from rain or heavy perspiration won't ruin the internal electronics. However, if you prefer the convenience of untethered audio or need to charge your battery for long-haul travel, the lack of wireless capability is a dealbreaker. It is also not suitable for side sleeping, as the hard plastic enclosure and the bulky clip would be uncomfortable against a pillow.

The Lavince Sleep Headphones take a completely different approach, merging a sleep mask, a sports headband, and stereo speakers into a single foam-based unit. The primary use case here is undeniably sleep, particularly for those who are side sleepers. Traditional headphones often create painful pressure points when you lie on your side, but the Lavince features ultra-thin stereo speakers embedded in a breathable mesh lining that stretches to fit most head sizes. This design allows you to listen to white noise, sleep sounds, or podcasts without feeling like something is shoved into your ear canal.
For the professional who wants to transition from work to rest without changing gear, the Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity is a game-changer. It offers a stable connection for up to 10 hours on a single charge, which covers a full night's sleep plus a workout session. The device recharges in just 1-2 hours via USB, ensuring you are ready for the next cycle. While the product description mentions it helps block ambient sound like snoring partners or street noise, it achieves this through a combination of the headband's fit and the placement of the speakers, rather than active electronic cancellation. If you are searching for the best gaming headphones for zoom calls while lying in bed, this offers a unique comfort level that over-ear or in-ear models simply cannot match.
However, this product is not for everyone. The form factor is a wide headband made of foam and braided cord materials. While the hypoallergenic materials prevent irritation for many, some users might find the width of the band cumbersome if they wear glasses or have a larger head circumference. Additionally, because it is a single piece of fabric with embedded electronics, you cannot adjust individual ear cup angles. It is strictly designed for a specific lifestyle: resting, light exercise, or travel. If you need to run, hike, or engage in high-intensity cardio where a loose headband might slip or bounce, this is not the tool for the job.
• Best for wireless freedom → Lavince Sleep Headphones. The Bluetooth 5.4 technology provides a seamless experience without cords, perfect for moving around the house or sleeping without tangling wires.
• Best for wired reliability → JVC HAEB75S. With a direct 3.5 mm connection, you never have to worry about battery life running out during a critical moment or a call dropping due to signal interference.
• Best for side sleeping → Lavince Sleep Headphones. The ultra-thin profile ensures zero pressure on the ear, making it the only viable option for those who toss and turn on their sides.
• Best for intense workouts → JVC HAEB75S. The secure clip and splash-proof rating make it durable against sweat and movement, whereas a headband might shift or get soaked.
• Best for battery longevity → Lavince Sleep Headphones. A single charge lasts up to 10 hours, covering multiple nights or days of light use, whereas the JVC requires no charging at all.
• Best for noise isolation (passive) → JVC HAEB75S. The hook design and earpiece shape offer a physical seal that blocks more external sound than a surface-level headband.
• Best for comfort on sensitive skin → Lavince Sleep Headphones. The breathable mesh and moisture-wicking fabric keep the area cool, reducing the risk of heat buildup common with enclosed earbuds.
• Best for portability → Lavince Sleep Headphones. The compact, foldable nature of the headband makes it easy to pack in a bag, while the JVC cord can tangle easily during transport.
In my opinion, if I were setting up a dedicated workspace for Zoom calls where I needed absolute reliability and didn't mind a cable, I would lean toward the JVC HAEB75S for its durability and secure fit. However, for the vast majority of people looking for a versatile audio companion that serves both as a sleep aid and a casual listening device, the Lavince Sleep Headphones are the superior choice. The combination of Bluetooth 5.4 stability and the unique ability to sleep comfortably without ear pressure makes it a more innovative and practical daily driver. I recommend the Lavince Sleep Headphones for anyone who values the ability to disconnect from the world and drift off without discomfort.
Both devices support calls, but the JVC HAEB75S uses a wired 3.5 mm connection for consistent quality, while the Lavince uses Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless convenience, though call quality depends on the microphone integration within the headband.
While designed primarily for side sleepers, the ultra-thin profile allows for some flexibility, but stomach sleepers may still find the headband slightly bulky compared to flat earplugs or traditional pillows.
The JVC HAEB75S is rated as splash-proof, meaning it can handle sweat and light rain, but it is not submersible and should not be washed under a tap.
According to the specifications, the Lavince Sleep Headphones provide up to 10 hours of playback time on a single charge, with a recharge time of 1-2 hours.
