¹ My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments,
² for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.

The ESV and RVR60 stay closer to the original wording and metaphor. The NLT changes “lean” to “depend,” making the expression more natural in English.
The ESV keeps the original image of “paths,” while the NLT explains the idea more directly.
