If you want a massive, disposable supply of lightweight in-ear buds for large groups like classrooms or testing centers, choose JustJamz Bulk Earbuds 100; if you need durable, padded on-ear headphones with volume control and modern USB-C connectivity for smaller teams or individual focus, choose Bulktech 5.
• JustJamz Bulk Earbuds 100: Its biggest strength is the sheer volume (100 units) and universal 3.5mm compatibility, making it the go-to for bulk distribution. Its trade-off is that they are wired in-ear buds with no active noise cancellation and no built-in microphone, relying solely on sound isolation. This pick is for schools, libraries, and event organizers needing to outfit hundreds of people quickly.
• Bulktech 5: Its biggest strength is the premium comfort of leather ear cushions and adjustable headbands, paired with a practical volume control wheel directly on the cup. Its trade-off is the lower quantity (only 5 units) and reliance on USB-C ports, which limits use with older 3.5mm-only devices without an adapter. This pick is for small offices, conference rooms, or families who value comfort over mass quantity.
The JustJamz Bulk Earbuds 100 are engineered with one clear purpose: serving large groups where individual ownership isn't feasible or necessary. When you look at the specifications, you see a product designed for efficiency and accessibility rather than audiophile perfection. The package contains 100 individual pairs, each weighing only 200 grams in total for the entire lot, which underscores their lightweight nature. They feature a classic black design with soft silicone tips meant to fit snugly in the ear canal, providing a basic level of passive noise isolation through physical blockage rather than electronic interference.
For educators or administrators managing a room full of students, these are ideal. The 3.5mm jack is the industry standard for decades, meaning these will plug directly into almost any Chromebook, laptop, tablet, or MP3 player found in a typical school environment. There is no pairing process, no battery charging cycle, and no firmware updates required. You simply hand them out, and everyone is ready to listen. The cable length is standardized at 1 meter (3 feet), which offers enough slack for movement around a desk or library table without becoming a tripping hazard.

However, this product is not for someone seeking high-fidelity audio or hands-free calling capabilities. If you are looking for the best wireless earbuds for switch gaming or console play, these won't work because they are wired. They are also not suitable for users who need to make phone calls, as there is no microphone included. These are strictly for listening, making them perfect for language labs, silent reading periods, or exam environments where distractions must be minimized.
The Bulktech 5 represents a shift from "disposable" utility to "reusable" comfort. While the JustJamz pair focuses on quantity, the Bulktech 5 focuses on quality of experience per unit. This set includes five pairs of on-ear headphones, a number that suggests they are intended for a small team, a family, or a dedicated workspace rather than a whole classroom. The standout feature here is the construction material; they utilize soft padded leather ear cushions and a plastic enclosure designed to rest comfortably on the ears rather than inside them.
This design choice makes a significant difference during long sessions. Unlike the in-ear buds that can cause fatigue after hours of wear, the on-ear design with rotatable earcups allows for a custom fit that accommodates different head sizes. The inclusion of a built-in volume control is a critical differentiator for group settings where you don't want to walk around adjusting the source device for every single user. Whether it's a teacher checking audio levels or a manager adjusting a conference call, the remote control method puts the power directly in the user's hand.
Connectivity is handled via a USB-C connector, which speaks to modern device compatibility. These headphones are built for the current generation of Chromebooks, Android smartphones, and laptops that have ditched the 3.5mm port. They offer plug-and-play functionality without Bluetooth latency issues, which is essential for anyone hunting for a low latency headphone for switch streaming or synchronized video content. However, this convenience comes with a limitation: if your primary device is an older model with only a 3.5mm output, you will need a separate adapter. The lack of active noise control means they rely on the seal of the ear pads to dampen external noise, so they are best used in moderately quiet environments like offices or study halls.
• Best for massive scale distribution → JustJamz Bulk Earbuds 100: With 100 units in one box, you can outfit an entire school grade or a large event hall instantly.
• Best for modern device integration → Bulktech 5: The USB-C connection eliminates the need for dongles on newer laptops and tablets, streamlining setup.
• Best for extended comfort → Bulktech 5: Leather padding and on-ear design prevent the ear fatigue common with 1-meter wired in-ear buds.
• Best for universal legacy support → JustJamz Bulk Earbuds 100: The 3.5mm jack works with virtually every audio source ever made, including older educational technology.
• Best for independent volume management → Bulktech 5: The on-headphone volume control allows users to adjust levels without touching the computer or tablet.
• Best for silence-focused environments → JustJamz Bulk Earbuds 100: The in-ear bud shape provides better physical sound isolation than the open-on-ear design of the Bulktech 5.
• Best for durability and reuse → Bulktech 5: Designed with rotatable cups and robust padding, these are built to last through repeated cleaning and daily use, unlike the disposable nature of the JustJamz pack.
• Best for budget-conscious bulk buying → JustJamz Bulk Earbuds 100: One purchase gets you 100 units, drastically reducing the cost-per-unit compared to buying five premium pairs.
I would buy the JustJamz Bulk Earbuds 100 if my goal was to equip a classroom or a library. The logic is simple: when you need to serve 30, 40, or 100 people simultaneously, the 3.5mm compatibility and the sheer volume of units make it the only logical choice. It solves the problem of "who has a headset?" by ensuring everyone does. However, if I were setting up a small home office or a conference room for a team of four or five, I would skip the bulk pack and go straight for the Bulktech 5. The leather comfort and USB-C connectivity make it the superior choice for personal, long-term use. Ultimately, the decision hinges on whether you are feeding a crowd or serving a few individuals, but for those specifically looking for the best open ear headphones for switch style setups or general group listening, the JustJamz option wins on pure utility and scale.
Neither product is explicitly listed as a Switch accessory, but the JustJamz 3.5mm jack works with the Switch dock or controller if you have a 3.5mm adapter, while the Bulktech 5 requires a USB-C to audio adapter since the Switch uses USB-C for wired audio.
While the 3.5mm jack connects physically, the JustJamz Bulk Earbuds 100 do not include a microphone, so they cannot be used for two-way communication in online meetings.
The total item weight for the JustJamz 100-pack is 200 grams, suggesting extremely lightweight individual units, whereas the Bulktech 5 set weighs 0.33 kg for all five pairs combined.
