"Answers for a frustrated life coach…"
Here’s an email that recently came into my inbox.
A few edits have been made to make him more concise and clear…
“I spent $2,000 with a company who said they can send customers to my website.
I didn’t get one sale.
And from what they showed me over 1,685 people visited my site … but not one email … phone call or … booked appointment.
Nothing.
I’m beyond frustrated because I’m doing what they recommend.
I’m on Facebook … Twitter … Instagram … but I’m not seeing any results. I don’t know what I’m going to do to stay afloat any suggestions?”
This email jumped out at me because it’s pretty common…
Coaches spending hard earned money marketing their practice with nothing to show for it but a lighter wallet … anxiety and frustration
I took a look at their website and immediately spotted the problems … here’s what I saw.
Mistake #1 – not making lead generation priority #1
Lead-generation is where it all begins.
It’s the launching pad in building a profitable coaching practice.
A strong lead generating system keeps the wheels of your profit practice turning.
Mistake #2 – Website is way too general
I’m sorry but you can’t serve everybody.
Even if you believe everyone needs a life coach can you really help everyone?
You have to get specific.
Pick one market and one problem that you can help them solve. You can add more programs as you grow but for now just pick one.
Mistake #3 – Not following-up consistently (the right way)
Your prospects are busier than ever before.
Free time is growing scarce and disposable income for the middle class is shrinking.
Meanwhile … every person on earth is getting bombarded with barrage of marketing pitches 24/7.
Choices are greater than ever.
There’s more competition for the limited dollars available … AND for the limited attention span of those you’re trying to reach.
It’s no surprise most people don’t respond the first … second … or fifth time you contact them.
Truth is…
Some people won’t respond at all … no matter what you do. But on the flip side of the equation … many more will see your message and respond if you follow-up.
