Unlike most eyedropper tools, this one doesn't display a special mouse pointer with a preview of the color. Instead, the first box (in the top left corner) of the application's GUI, displays the color of the element under the pointer. The color codes are listed just below this box.

Just Color Picker has three sliders for RGB, HSV and HSL. These represent the color that you have captured using the program. Of course, you can manually adjust the sliders to set a specific color code. The box next to the radio buttons shows a preview of the current color that you choose from the history/capture mode or manual selection.

Could you try it and see if it crashes too? Here is my work-in-progress: WIP [Synfig Studio] new color editor by rodolforg  Pull Request #2095  synfig/synfig  GitHub . Windows users can test by following these steps. PS: As I just uploaded the code, you may have to wait some minutes.

Can you please try the following:

(1) Try to open the color picker while being logged into Webflow using Incognito mode: Browse in private - Computer - Google Chrome Help

(2) If the problem persists, please take a screenshot of your Console and send it to me: Chrome DevTools - Chrome for Developers

Aseprite does not have an option to reduce the colors of the Color Tint/Shade/Tone style color picker. It does have discrete versions of the RGB and RYB wheels which reduce the hue to 12 steps and saturation to 6 steps.

Would it not be very useful if RT had a color picker/pipette that we could lock onto a certain spot, so that we could follow the change in Lab/RGB values while dragging a curve or altering other parameters?

Tried this evening to choose the greenscreen portion of an image by choosing the color picker. As soon as I click on the image, everything turns the color that I click on . . . the entire image is now a monochrome green.

Restarted program, same problem. It didn't work like that in the past. Before, selecting a color with the color picker then using / would do a great job, needing minimal adjustment. Now, the entire process is an exercise in futility!!!

The question is why does clicking the Color Picker Tool in your image change the color. That could be because you have "Apply to Selection" enabled in the Context Toolbar. If so, one thing you need to do is turn that option off before using the Color Picker Tool. Or use the color picker (eyedropper) in the Color panel to select colors, instead.

Something strange is certainly happening because with an Opened image, with just the background layer, clicking with the Color Picker Tool, regardless of that Context Toolbar setting, does nothing for me but change the colors shown in the Color panel.

For my own home movies, to apply color correction, I just used the color picker in the white balance filter. I would select the color picker, choose a color that I thought should be neutral. Then, If I thought the result was better, I kept the filter. Else, I deleted the filter and went with the original color. For me, it was a simple way to improve the color for may clips without making a large time investment.

It started crashing after I upgraded my monitor calibration software (Datacolor Spyder4). I don't know if the this is just a coincidence or if the Datacolor Spyder software is somehow causing the crash issue.
