BIO

I am a Staff Research Scientist at Google DeepMind. I contributed to several large-scale projects such as AlphaStar and AlphaCode. Before joining Google DeepMind, I received my PhD in machine learning from the MILA lab at the University of Montreal in 2018, where I was fortunate to be advised by Professor Yoshua Bengio

Research Interest

I have broad interest in various topics in deep learning. To name a few, I am interested in neural-based approach for natural language processing, more capable neural architectures and more capable and aligned generative modellingI have been working on large-scale neural networks lately, and my latest work covers the intersection of large language models and neural-based code generation.
