Juntai Lu is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the College of Business at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM). He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Arkansas, is a CFA® charterholder, and has received the AUM Junior Faculty Award (2023) and AUM Research Award (2024).
His research examines the political economy of the firm, behavioral corporate finance, corporate innovation, social networks, supply chains, and mergers and acquisitions. His work has appeared in journals including the Journal of Corporate Finance, Energy Economics, Financial Management, the Quarterly Journal of Finance, Abacus, Finance Research Letters, and Review of Financial Economics, and has been featured by Columbia Law School's Blue Sky Blog and Institutional Investor.
At AUM, he teaches corporate finance, personal finance, risk management and insurance, financial institutions and markets, and financial valuation across the undergraduate and MBA programs, with a mean student evaluation of 4.65/5.00 across 39 sections.
