I am a 6th year PhD student in the Department of Mathematics at Rice University, working with Christopher Leininger.
My current research area lies in geometric group theory and low dimensional topology, concerning mapping class groups of finite-type surfaces. More specifically, I am interested in questions related to convex cocompactness and other notions of geometric finiteness in mapping class groups. These groups have attracted broader interest in recent years due to their connection to surface group extensions with nice properties such as hyperbolicity or HHS structure.
I am currently on the job market for postdoc positions starting Fall 2026.
