Junior Talkies policy and terms:

1. You may only approach Junior Talkies if you are an independent licensed criminal law practitioner who has practiced for 3 years or less and if you practice in regions other than Pune and Mumbai. Since Adv. Ankur R. Jahagirdar practices mainly in Pune and Mumbai, those regions are excluded from Junior Talkies's current ambit of work so as to avoid conflict of interest situations.

2. Please note that currently Junior Talkies is only connecting with criminal law practitioners. However, if we find success in our endeavors, an attempt will be made in the near future to add more legal practice areas so that a wider range of legal professionals can be helped through this platform.

3. Eligible legal professionals should contact Junior Talkies on email with their following details:

• full name

• mobile number

• sanad number and date of enrollment

• place of practice

• description of their query

Once an email is received, we will respond with our contact number and fix a time for a quick call. You are requested to be prepared with your questions for the call and be ready with any documents you may require to discuss your query.

4. At present, we can help with the following -

• queries regarding bail

• queries regarding drafting complaints, notices, FIRs and other criminal law related documents

• queries regarding other criminal law practice and procedures

5. We permit a maximum of 2 queries per month per person at a minimum gap of 15 days between queries, so that we can accomodate more people. Junior Talkies is not intended to become a spoon feeding exercise but merely a guidance mechanism for when you are genuinely stuck on certain queries and unable to get past despite sincere efforts. Please bear this in mind while approaching us.

6. Junior Talkies is not intended to create, nor will it create any professional relationship between us and you or us and your clients. Your clients shall at all times remain your sole responsibility.

7. We will only talk to you and never to any of your clients. Junior Talkies is not meant to provide legal advice to any member of the general public.

8. Junior Talkies is free of cost for all junior legal professionals without any need to pay any consultation fees or any other charges. What you charge your clients and your financial dealings with them is of no concern to us, nor will we ever ask you about it.

9. Unless stated otherwise, during all guidance sessions, queries will be discussed but we will not undertake any drafting work or review of documents. You must do such work yourself, although guidance to draft/review will be provided whereever required. However, in cases where it is deemed essential, we may review/ edit your documents/drafts. To do it or not is a call we will take at the appropriate time.

10. Please do not attempt to contact us through Whatsapp or LinkedIn. We will not respond. All communication including sharing of any documents, if at all, should happen through email alone on juniortalkies@gmail.com

11. Don't ask us for legal documents' formats. We are averse to relying on formats for learning how to draft and believe that learning to draft well from scratch has huge benefits and is good exercise for the mind. If you approach us for a drafting query, you must be willing to draft from scratch.

12. We will be recording all calls during our guidance sessions with you. You are also permitted to record such calls. Our purpose of recording calls is to listen to those calls later and gradually improve upon our way of guiding young lawyers.

13. If we suspect any misuse or if there is any inappropriate behaviour on your part, you will be blocked from further contacting us.

14. Needless to say, any advice we give is based on our understanding of the law. We do not guarantee that such advice will be accurate, although efforts will always be made to give good advice. If any advice given by us is accepted and implemented by you in your professional assignments, same shall be done at your own risk and you alone shall be responsible for it's consequences.

15. We are helping you free of cost and it is expected that you must also in turn help someone the same way. It could be in the form of a pro-bono service to a needy client or it could be helping a fellow young practitioner in some way; anything will do, but help must be passed on. Alternatively, you may plant a tree and email us a picture of you with it and that will be considered sufficient compliance of this clause. Intention is to create some good energy in the legal field because the old energy doesn't feel so good and it is our belief that we cannot walk into the future with such bad and outdated energy.

Other than the above, we would just like to say that you should feel free to approach us without any need to feel intimidated or worrying too much about whether your query is intelligent or dumb. Ask away freely.
