The skeletal system not only supports our body but also participates in energy metabolism through organ-to-organ interactions. Our research focuses on uncovering the role of skeletal tissue in controlling whole-body energy metabolism.
Research Highlights:
– In 2023, we studied the physiological function of insulin receptor endocytosis. This was published in Diabetes.
– In 2022, we developed a novel therapeutic method for severe insulin resistance syndrome. This work was published in Nature Communications.
– In 2022, we discovered an activation mechanism of the insulin receptor by insulin. This work was published in Nature Structural & Molecular Biology.
– In 2019, we identified a potential biomarker for bone-destructive oral squamous cell carcinoma. This was published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation.
We are actively recruiting!
We are actively seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and undergraduate/post-bac researchers to join our innovative and multidisciplinary team. We invite young scholars from a variety of academic disciplines, including science and engineering. We create a supportive environment and value all lab personnel’s continuing growth and achievement!Interested candidates should send their applications to Dr. Junhee Park (junheepark@snu.ac.kr).
