Jungrak (Jung) Sohn is a highly qualified and experienced geotechnical engineer specializing in probabilistic uncertainty quantification based on integrated geophysical and geotechnical analysis for marine site characterization. He holds a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering and a M.S. in Geophysics from Texas A&M University, focusing his research on this field.
He has worked on offshore wind farm projects, using his expertise in geotechnical engineering to ensure the safety and stability of the wind turbines. He has also gained experience in foundation design from LNG plant construction projects in Texas and Louisiana.
Currently, heworks as a geotechnical engineer at bp, where he is responsible for deepwater projects in the Gulf of Mexico. His expertise in probabilistic uncertainty quantification and integrated geophysical and geotechnical analysis makes him a valuable asset to bp as they work on a wide range of projects related to the entire energy industry.
