Jung Hyun Kim

Welcome! I am a health economist and a social epidemiologist, currently serving as a David E. Bell Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies.

I combine methods from economics, machine learning, and epidemiology to understand the link between the labor market and health. Topics related to policies, population aging, and cognitive health are of interest to me.

I obtained my PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Luxembourg in January 2025.

💡 July 2026:  "Economic uncertainty shocks and cause-specific mortality" is now out in Social Science & Medicine. We are grateful to the Harvard ERC Center for funding a follow-up study that will examine uncertainty and workers’ health.
