Julien Picard

Welcome to my website. I am an environmental and behavioural economist working on food choices, pro-social actions, and environmentally sustainable farming practices. More precisely, I use experimental methods and theory to understand what drives our pro-environmental decisions. I also seek to determine how soft policies can encourage these climate-friendly actions. Ultimately, my goal is to understand the role economic actors can play in the green transition.

I graduated with a PhD in Environmental Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2024. I am currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher at the Politecnico di Milano and am affiliated with the Environmental Institute on Economics and the Environment. I am also a research fellow at the LSE Department of Geography and Environment.
