Pour Me A Divorce Book Launch
FORT COLLINS, Colo.— Dr. Sherilyn Marrow’s bundle, Pour Me a Divorce and Pour Me A Divorce: Resilience & Self-Care Workbook will launch from 2-4 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the University of Northern Colorado’s Michener Library. The book has hers and ten other couples’ experiences with alcoholic partners. The workbook has exercises on how to practice resilience. Dr. Marrow is a professor, therapist and resilience researcher.
With this book bundle, Dr. Marrow wants to spark a conversation about those struggling with alcoholic relationships. “I have to get these books out there, for people who need it. My intention is to help people,” Dr. Marrow said. Resilience is a great virtue but is hard to learn. However, Dr. Marrow wants people to know that with support, anything is possible.
This is Dr. Marrow’s first published book. Although Dr. Marrow knows her audience is niche, she wants to get the word out to as many people as possible. This is a ‘must read’ for those in alcoholic relationships because Dr. Marrow knows what it is like to be in a long-term relationship with an alcoholic. Even if it is a secretive of sensitive topic, she wants to talk more about alcoholic relationships that cause difficulties. Her book can be found on Amazon or her website, https://www.drsherilyn.com/
Dr. Sherilyn Marrow is a Communications professor at UNC. Alongside teaching, she is a therapist and a resilience researcher. She has spent years researching and learning about resilience and change in relationships.
