POP UP SPACE

In modules "Retail Design" and "Brand Experience", we are taught to narrate the brand story and product inspirations with a space. Using Google Sketchup, I have drawn the following pop up spaces for exisiting brands in the market:

Brand Experience

In this module, we were tasked to create a pop up store for lifestyle brands. The brand I chose is Merci Marcel, a one stop French culture dining and shopping destination. Their stores are designed to allow consumers to chill out with friends and family.

Hence, my proposed idea is a Treehouse Hideout at Marina Barrage. The side wall where the swing chair faces will be full glass from roof to floor so that consumers can look up to see the sky and look front to see the beautiful scenery of skyscrapers.

Having the treehouse at Marina Barrage would really make the pop up store a hideout from the busy lives in the city while being admist of the skyscrapers.

It will be on a reservation based for time slots of an hour long. This is to allow consumers to spend quality time with their loved ones.

Lastly, as Merci Marcel is a sustainable brand that is responsible to the environment and that the concept is a treehouse, the pop up store will be raising funds for NEA for a greener environment.

Retail Design

Not only does the retail outlet conveys the message of the brand, the pop up store designs are also key to further expose the brand. Hence, in this module, we were tasked to create a pop up space for luxury brands collaboration and market it.

As I chose RIMOWA x CHAOS, a luggage and accessories collaboration, my concept was to bring consumers to the road less travelled that is North Pole. This would reflect RIMOWA's sturdy luggages and the colour contrast of CHAOS with the snowy mountains.
