We live in a world where music is becoming more individualized. New genres of music are created everyday. Dance music is no longer dance music, it's now splintered into brostep, bubble trance, catstep or even deep discofox to name a few. Each of these different genres attracts different audiences. How does this affect how people write about music? Is it the case that massive music blogs, like Pitchfork, keep the tone of their reviews consistent across genres? Or rather do they tailor the way each genre is written about, specific to that genre's audience.
