The improved teaching practice that results from developing teacher confidence and pedagogy impacts on the culture of the school which ultimately changes the teaching and learning experience.
I have worked in Catholic and Lutheran schooling systems (P-12) in various roles such as classroom teacher, curriculum coordinator, Teacher Librarian, eLearning Project Administrator and as an Education Officer in ICT.
As an Educational Leader, I mentor the Professional Learning of teachers in matters of pedagogy, eLearning and Teacher Librarianship.
I am passionate about supporting adult professional learning in order to provide students with the conditions to engage and challenge themselves.
I believe that teaching is enhanced through the authentic embedding of technologies into learning experiences.
I am the recipient of the Rolph Mayer Award for Teacher Excellence and a QSITE Digital Champion (Queensland Society for Information Technology in Education).
My interests include the exploration of eLearning to implement innovative practice.
I am also interested in reading and literature, Makerspaces and STEM.
