Julia Boulton

As an Educational Leader, Project Administrator, Teacher Librarian and Innovation and eLearning Leader, I model innovative practice, mentor teachers and promote effective technology implementation and contemporary learning.

The improved teaching practice that results from developing teacher confidence and pedagogy impacts on the culture of the school which ultimately changes the teaching and learning experience.

I have worked in Catholic and Lutheran schooling systems (P-12) in various roles such as classroom teacher, curriculum coordinator, Teacher Librarian, eLearning Project Administrator and as an Education Officer in ICT.

As an Educational Leader, I mentor the professional learning of teachers in matters of pedagogy, eLearning and Teacher Librarianship.

I am passionate about supporting adult professional learning in order to provide students with the conditions to engage and challenge themselves.

I believe that teaching is enhanced through the authentic embedding of technologies into learning experiences.

I am the recipient of the Rolph Mayer Award for Teacher Excellence and a QSITE Digital Champion (Queensland Society for Information Technology in Education).

My interests include the exploration of eLearning to implement innovative practice.

I am also interested in reading and literature, Makerspaces and STEM.
