As someone who grew up in the North East, I am rediscovering India, trying to understand the differences that have become our strength. From growing up in times of insurgency in Assam to traveling in Kargil and Ladakh to understand how our soldiers stand guarding the borders. How love for the land manifests in so many ways; that's what I am trying to understand, says the composer before he embarks on another journey mid-April.

Badshah's label then Sony Music, confirmed that they had used the help of advertisements from Google ad sense to promote the song.

An explanation for YouTube not acknowledging the record was that Badshah's record label Sony Music India had purchased advertisements from Google and YouTube that embedded the video or directed fans to it in some way. However, it has emerged that this is a common practice in the global music industry, and that similar practices had previously been used by the record labels of previous record holders such as Ariana Grande and Blackpink. This has cast doubt on some of the 24-hour viewership records on YouTube.[16]

As the release of the trilingual musical drama, #Homecoming is nearing, the makers have released some songs from its album, giving a fair share of idea what the drama is going to be all about. The album comprises various songs by six diverse and experienced musicians from the industry and offers a blend of Hindi and Bengali songs, featuring music and vocals by the likes of Sameer Rahat, Amrita Singh, Rashmeet Kaur.

The first one to get underway is a romantic track picturised on Hussain Dalal, one of the lead actors in the film. The song, titled 'Jugnu Hain' has been composed by Sameer Rahat and written by the sibling-duo Sameer and Satlaj Rahat. This song is sung by Mohan Kanan, popular for chartbuster tracks like 'Yaariyaan' from Cocktail, 'Chaandaniya' from 2 States and most recently, 'Wahi hai raste' from Panga. The music video, released recently, shows Dalal singing and reminiscing his good old days at the reunion with his group of friends. The video shares glimpses of him performing the song live at the event while sending signals to Sayani Gupta's character, indicating how much he misses being with her and reminding her about their theatre days.

This is the first time, the music composer Sameer Rahat is working on a first full-length feature film. Calling the project, his debut as a music director, Rahat said in a statement that he has done all the Hindi songs in the film. Khul Jaun Kya is the opening track of the album. "It is a very niche song and not the usual one you hear. Soumyajit letting me do this song and letting me do whatever I want with respect to the music of the film is very courageous and kudos to him. There are songs like Khabar and Jugnu that are very likely to be liked because they are love songs, feel-good songs about life," he said. He further spoke about the opening song Khul Jaun Kya. He said it is a very intense song and is a direct adaptation of his father's poem Rahat Indori. "It's a Ghazal which I adapted into a song composition. It was a certain amount of responsibility on my shoulder as a composer to justify his words. And I make sure his literature and poems come out through my music into the world," he says.

#Homecoming also stars Sayani Gupta, Tushar Pandey, Plabita Borthakur and Soham Majumdar. The film is written and directed by Soumyajit Majumdar. It is based on a group of friends who reunite after seven years in their hometown of Kolkata to save their old theatre rehearsal space from being demolished for commercialisation plans of the state. 152ee80cbc
