Juan F. Margitic


My name is Juan Francisco Margitic and I am a Consultant in the Education Division of the Inter-American Development Bank. I use economic theory and empirical methods to address policy-relevant questions in the fields of development and political economy.

My research focuses on understanding the impact of social protection programs on the poorest of the poor and the determinants of voters’ turnout.

I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University and a B.S. from Loyola Marymount University.
