Meet the Instructors

Teressa Wentland

Lead Instructor at JT Ranch and CHA Master Clinic Instructor Tereesa Wentland has competed professionally in Cowboy Dressage, Dressage, Eventing, Jumping, Western Equitation and Pleasure, English Equitation and Please, Showmanship and Trail. She has started and trained over 100 different types of horses that has competed in all disciplines.

As a youth she showed in 4-H from the age of 8 to 18 and is currently the leader of Bits-N-Spurs 4-H Club where there are 45 youth members. She is also a certified 4-H Judge in Washington, Idaho and Oregon.

Tereesa is also head Coach of the JT Ranch Vaulters, a competitive Vaulting Team since 2009. The team has competed in venues everywhere from Washington, Oregon, Denver, Utah and Canada. We have had vaulters compete in the Regional and National Championships. We recruit for new members in October of each year.

Dani Frazier

Assistant Trainer and certified riding instructor in Western, English and Jumping. She started out at JT Ranch as an intern in 2016 and has worked her way up to Assistant Trainer and Riding Instructor. Dani has done everything from help start young horses to finishing a bridle horse. She also attended our certification clinic and was certified in 2018. She is amazing with students from the tiny tots to adults and has a passion for this way of life.

James Wentland

Certified Western and English Instructor. He has ridden horses his whole life, shown in 4-H and helped Tereesa start and train horses. He was a professional cowboy working on feedlots, handling cattle, roping and training horses for many years. He also had a custom cattle care business caring for up to 600 mother cows at a time. He currently is passionate about cattle work, horsemanship and ranch roping.

Jazmyn Wentland

Jazmyn is a certified CHA Instructor. She has also been riding since she was in the womb. She has been showing horses since she was 3 years old, been vaulting since she was 6 years old and now competes at the national level in Vaulting. She received her D-2 in Pony Club and has been showing in 4-H for the last 4 years and qualified for the State Fair in Dressage and Performance the last 3 years. She also enjoys trail riding, working and sorting cattle and working with troubled horses and riders. She also trains horses and gives lessons in Western, English and Vaulting.

Jade Wentland

Jade is a hand with horse and has been through certification clinic twice. He has been riding since he was in mom's tummy. He has shown horses since he was 2 years old, competed to the National Level in Vaulting and been 3rd and 5th in the men's bronze for vaulting. He received his D-3 in Pony Club and has completed all 4 Levels in the Spokane County Working Ranch Horse Program. He currently enjoys team roping, moving cattle out on the Ranch and works for a professional team roper. He also works part-time at JT Ranch starting horses and giving lessons.
