Description: A small dioecious tree with drooping branchlets and fissured bark. The leaves are reduced to scales, and it produces cylindrical fruiting cones.
Care: Prefers well-drained rocky soils and full sun to semi-shade. Highly drought-tolerant and useful for erosion control.
Size: Typically grows between 4–10 meters tall.
Interesting Fact: The foliage can be chewed to relieve thirst, a trick well-known to bushmen.
Origin: Native to southeastern Australia.
