We're on a summer break! Our next Math Circle is on Sunday, Sept 14 at 11am PT / 2pm ET.
Once a month, we host an online Math Circle where you will have the opportunity to explore a math activity in a small group, led by a facilitator. All skill levels and backgrounds are welcome!
Breakout rooms are by age and experience level, and are facilitated by experienced volunteer math educators. Adults are invited to join the adult breakout room to explore the activity in a group setting.
The Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival (JRMF) is a math education non-profit on a mission to help all students build confidence, joy, and a positive identity around math. They do this by hosting fun math events at schools and other community centers called math festivals.
At a math festival, students and their families explore a variety of hands-on, play-based, standards-aligned math puzzles and games. JRMF trains volunteers (parents, teachers, or older students) from your community to lead math activities and provide motivation and encouragement along the way. A math festival is an opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the joy of math.
The JRMF Community Math Circle (CMC) is offered online and organized by a group of passionate volunteers who have facilitated with JRMF in the past. JRMF contributes activity apps, facilitation resources, and training to support the CMC.
