Jacob Pratscher is an Assistant Professor at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA). He earned his Ph.D at Northern Illinois University in mathematics under the direction of Professor Alastair Fletcher. His current research interests are in quasiconformal mappings and geometric function theory from a complex analysis perspective, in particular the geometry of objects in terms of quasiregular dynamics. He earned his bachelor's degree at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, where he found his passion to study mathematics. In his off time, Jake enjoys spending time with his family and/or in the outdoors, he particularly revels in hiking, camping, and canoeing.
