Design Criteria

• The T-Shirt Design must be your own original, unpublished work. By entering the competition, you agree that your submission is your own work, and JPAC has exclusive rights to use your design.

• “Jamaica Plain Open Studios 2026”, “JP Open Studios 2026” or “JPOS 2026” should be included in the design.

• Design must be limited to one color, intended to be printed on the front of the shirt.

• Designs should be submitted in black ink on a white background.  Please consider what your design will look like in light colored ink on a dark background as well.  Final shirt and ink colors will be selected by the JPAC T-shirt committee in collaboration with the design contest winner.

• The T-Shirt is intended for all genders and sizes.

• Designs must not contain profanity, trademarks, or copyrighted material.

• The designer's signature may be incorporated into the design in an unobtrusive way.

• Only one submission per artist please.

Design entry should include

• A high resolution JPG or PNG image of the design.

• Image file should be black ink on a white background, at least 300 DPI, and at least 10" in each dimension, with your name included in the filename. (Maximum file size is 10 MB.)

• In addition to your artwork, you will be asked to provide your first and last name, email address, phone number, instagram (optional), a title for your work, and a description of your inspiration.

Design judged on the following criteria

• Originality

• Visibility – is it eye catching and visible from a distance

• Eye appeal, color and design

• Does it coincide with the mission of the JPOS 2025

• Feasibility – Must be easy to reproduce
