Violent Night

Dark comedy mixed with violence may not sound like a classical Christmas movie, but this combination turned into a great film. A mix of Die Hard and Home Alone made this movie perfect.
Santa Claus, with a Viking past, with age, turned into a sloppy, skeptical alcoholic who doesn't like the fact that children don't believe in him anymore. Thinking that he is just going to leave a present in another ordinary house changed his night forever because he couldn't help himself from bringing joy to little Trudy, who got trapped in the house with her relatives and the Christmas Killers. Trudy, the only believer in Santa, had to persuade everyone in her family that he is real, in order to keep him alive. The moral of the story is that all you have to do is believe because, without faith, you won't have anything.
In my opinion, it was an enjoyable and hilarious movie. I had a good laugh while watching it. My favorite part of the movie was when the little girl copied Kevin's ("Home Alone") pranks on the bad guys. There were a lot of curse words and violence, which is why I think that it is not a suitable movie for kids. I appreciated the choice of cast, music, and setting. I went into this with low expectations and walked out, wanting to see it again. I highly recommend you to watch it on the big screen. The overall rate: 9/10.
