Joumana McGowan is a higher education professional in California. When she isn’t working to enrich and empower the members of the community colleges she represents as a higher education professional, McGowan actively seeks out volunteer opportunities. She has supported numerous nonprofit organizations over the years. An advocate for research on Alzheimer's, dementia and brain injuries, McGowan supports the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Acquired Brain Injury Walkathon.
