Your privacy comes first

No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by Joules from you as an app user. Saved wishlist items, shopping cart contents, recently viewed products, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
Joules is built to help you browse, discover, and shop fashion products with confidence. We designed this app so you can explore collections, save items you love, manage your bag, and view product details — without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:
Your name
Your phone number
Your email address
Your home or mailing address
Your date of birth
Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)
Photos, contacts, or camera data
Precise GPS location
No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.
3. Information Stored On Your Device
To power your shopping experience, Joules stores the following locally on your device only (Room database and DataStore preferences):
Wishlist items you save
Shopping cart items and quantities
Recently viewed products
App settings (such as dark mode, language, currency, and notification preferences)
This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to your identity as an app user. Data you manage in the app remains on your device — we do not receive it as personal user profile data.
4. Local, On-Device Processing
Joules is designed for local processing wherever possible. Core features — including your wishlist, shopping cart, recently viewed products, search filters, and settings — run on your device using locally stored data.
Your saved wishlist, cart, and browsing history within the app are not sent to our servers for storage or processing. You can view items you have saved locally without needing to sign in.
An internet connection is needed to load product images, fetch catalog content when connected to a backend, display advertisements, and when you choose to share a product or open external links in your browser.
5. Data Display and Sharing
Product listings shown in the app are currently served from curated in-app catalog data and may in future be fetched from third-party fashion APIs. Wishlist, cart, and recently viewed data are read from your device's local database.
Product images are loaded from third-party image hosting services (such as Unsplash) to display clothing and fashion photography.
If you share a product using your device's standard share options, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us.
Checkout in the app is for demonstration purposes only. In a production release, completing a purchase would take place through secure external payment and order platforms — any information you submit there is handled by those services, not by Joules collecting additional data from you in the app.
6. Advertising
Joules displays advertisements through Google AdMob to help keep the app free to use. Ad formats may include banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads shown when you navigate between main sections.
Google and its advertising partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, approximate location (derived from IP address), app interactions with ads, and technical device data to deliver, measure, and improve ads. This data is handled according to Google's policies, not stored by us as a personal user profile.
You can limit ad personalization on your device through:
Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

7. Third-Party Services
Joules may use third-party services to display product images, fetch catalog content, and serve advertisements. These services may log standard technical requests (such as IP address) according to their own policies.
Google AdMob is used to serve advertisements. We do not send your wishlist, cart contents, search history, or app preferences to image, catalog, or ad providers as personal profile data. When you open a shared link or any external URL, that action is handled by the respective platform — not by Joules collecting additional data from you.
8. Cookies and Tracking
The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate our own analytics or cross-app tracking services within Joules.
Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may use identifiers permitted by your device and Android settings to measure ad performance. We do not build personal profiles about you based on your in-app activity beyond what is required for ad delivery through AdMob. Third-party websites or services you visit through shared links may use their own cookies and tracking — please review their privacy policies separately.
9. Network and Permissions
The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:
Internet access — required for loading product images, fetching catalog content, and displaying advertisements through Google AdMob
Network state — used to check connectivity before network requests
We do not request access to contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise location. There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app.
Your locally saved wishlist, cart, and browsing data remain on your device during normal app use.
10. Data Security
Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your wishlist, cart, recently viewed products, and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app.
App preferences are stored using DataStore on your device. Wishlist, cart, and recently viewed data are stored using Room Database. You can clear locally stored data at any time through Settings → Clear cache or through your device settings.
11. Children's Privacy
This app is intended for users browsing and shopping for fashion products. It is designed as a shopping utility and does not require personal information from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:
Settings → Apps → Joules → Storage → Clear storage
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored wishlist items, cart contents, recently viewed products, and app preferences from the app's private storage area.
13. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
