I am a linguist working on formal semantics. My doctoral dissertation was on tense marking in Kwa (Niger-Congo) languages.
I am interested in the theory of meaning focussing especially on semantic composition and a neo-componential analysis of meanings which aims at reconciling the traditional componential program with the formal approach of semantics, arguing that semantic features are symbols (just like other features) that are given an interpretations by the mind and that those interpretations can be modelled using tools of formal logic.
I also touch on issues related to reference, proper names, noun phrase semantics, coordination, plurality and quantification, tense marking in superficially tenseless languages.
