Josh Boyd is a Ph.D. student in Geospatial Computing Science at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC), specializing in Unmanned Aerial System(UAS) swarm collaboration and coordination. He is a member of the CORAL (Collaborative Robots and Agents Lab) led by Dr. Jose Baca. Josh's research focuses on swarm communications, modeling and simulation. He has presented his work at TAMU-CC student symposiums and published in Drone Systems and Applications.
Professional
Josh leads the Software Engineering team at the Autonomy Research Institute (ARI), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The Software Engineering team is responsible for maintaining and developing applications and infrastructure that support ARI operations.
Prior to joining the ARI team, Josh spent time as a PC repair technician, wireless internet technician, desktop application developer, web developer, database developer, system designer, development team lead and Software Engineering team manager.

Josh holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (Systems Programming), both from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.Â
