One of the first projects that was set to me, was a slight overhaul of the Discord that Grid Finder uses, which mostly included new emote/emojis, a banner and a new icon animation.
I started with the banner, which was inspired by previous graphics on the Grid Finder social medias.Â
I then went onto the emoji side of the Discord, which was done to encourage more people to talk in the Discord chat, and to be used for announcements to "spice" it up a little more. I mostly stuck with the theme of motorsports, but additionally doing some phrases you might see within the gaming community such as "AFK, GG EZ, LAG", and some Grid Finder branded versions of the popular meme Pepe the frog.
Once I was happy with the emojis I had created, I then created the icon animation for the discord, which is usually seen is quite a small format. It was mostly inspired by the animation they already had, where it uses the orange shapes to create a search bar like shape to spell out Grid Finder.
I was then asked to create intro cards for their YouTube channel which included the main videos and shorts. I created a handful of logo animations that leads to the video being played, and a handful of identity cards which showcases the persons name and social medias.
I was then asked to create a series of short videos that showcases how to use their website, and where you can follow them on social medias. These were created for both social media and for videos, so I created them all in a 1:1 format, and in a 1920x1080p format.
I was tasked with creating a simple design for the Grid Finder and Traxion Staff that would be attending the Sim Racing Expo in Germany. I went with a sleek simple design that showcases both branding colours.
Towards the end of my internship, I was asked to create a set of graphics that would be used in their emails, which were essentially call to action images for different games that they provide events for.
