PROBLEM \\
We were asked to create a modern brand identity for a florist shop based in Yorkshire, as they were launching a brand into the online letterbox flowers delivery market which started to gain popularity during the first COVID lockdown, as it has been described as a substitute for a hug.
SOLUTION \\
Initially, my solution was to have it focused on flower imagery, but I ultimately decided on using a bee as the main focus point due to the importance that bees have on our wildlife. It follows a simple colour palette of black and yellow, as that represents bees the most.
CONCEPTS \\
As this was for a flower company, my initial idea was to have the main focal point of the logo to be about flowers, though I eventually thought it may be best to not take such a generic route, so I started to look at animals that relate closely to flowers, which is when I ended up using the bee.
