I am a Senior Economist at the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, Colombia's competition authority. My research centers on conglomerate structures—non-vertical, non-horizontal firm connections that can distort competition. In sectors like energy, healthcare, digital goods, and payments, I conduct studies that aim to uphold open market principles, consumer welfare, and efficiency. However, the legal framework often limits our ability to fully address these complex structures. I am dedicated to advancing research to inform more effective regulation and policy responses to these challenges.
Fields of interest: Industrial Organization Theory, Microeconomic Theory, Game Theory.
