I’m a Senior Economist at the World Bank, currently serving as Senior Country Economist for Mongolia.
I have over 13 years of experience in macroeconomic analysis and fiscal policy, working across the Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and East Asia Pacific regions. I joined the World Bank through the 2016 Young Professionals Program (YPP). I'm a Peruvian national and a founding member of the Peruvian Economic Association.
I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University / Paris School of Economics. My research has focused primarily on macro-fiscal issues and has been published in peer-reviewed international journals. I also work on interdisciplinary questions at the intersection of philosophy and economics, with a particular interest in suffering, ethics, and well-being.
