Yarn in a variety of colours, choose a Double Knit (DK), Light worsted or 8 ply yarn. don’t pick anything to light or too dark in colour as these are harder to work with.
Hook, choose a hook that is 4 to 5.5 mm or a G-6 to I-9 in size. I find that an aluminium hook is the best for beginners because the yarn will glide more easily.
