ILLUSTRATOR
Johanna Montesano, known as Joni, is an emerging illustrator from Naples, where she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts.
Her work moves between exhibitions, fairs, and illustration festivals, where she brings to life delicate worlds filled with wonder and emotion.
In 2025, she published her first picturebook Bibou, marking the beginning of her journey into the world of contemporary illustration.
Through her intricate “micro-worlds,” she explores the boundaries between childhood and adulthood, from imagination, memory, and storytelling.
Her aspiration is to create stories that speak softly yet deeply within today’s publishing landscape.
