Had brunch with Maddie's grandmother and aunt this weekend, quite a fun afternoon. The ladies would make an excellent sitcom I think Warner Bros will be after them in no time. It also reinforced that my birthday bash should be at Coleman's Pub. Eco lab is suck (no one could define stocking, big dumb dumb couldn't understand study therefore the scientist made study too complex ). Eliot and Myself applied to good handful of WLFF jobs and are going to apply to a couple more so far, we've hit CA, OR, WA, MT, ID. Hopefully Tuohy and Sedge will apply to the same ones, and we will get to work together. Also applied for a job at the DOME doing various laborings. Finally made Sean his bread after like a month. This week has in fact been a bit strangely hectic. Up too late with Sedge and Sean "studying" and making dumplings, coffee date with Sam, Eco test, Fire presentation, unethical climbing and Carnegie Library. Highlights include Sean reporting bomb threats to ICE and Sam explaining Mecca=Fortnite. I did find out that Hendricks Chapel was built in the 1922's and at the time the chancellor was really religious (had a doctorate in church and worked as a bishop after SU) and was really into getting the college out of debt and segrating students. They moved Holden Observatory (the second ever building on campus) so they could build another building at 4in/min it took them 3 days of work. There used to be a ski barn on campus and now its a bar for graduate student (crazy). Andrew Carnegie refused to show up for the dedication of the library he paid for so they didn't have a dedication service. I am dangerously close to losing my marbles and Sedge and Sean don't even know it but they are going to get so many pancakes tmr morning (perhaps even tn). Also, my rain pants are in Morris so looks like I'm going to be soggy as hell until 7:15 when I get out of calc! I did tell everyone I was going to make a cooking video last night but I forgot but if you guys want a recipe LMK I made cabbage and chicken curry kinda.  Love you all come find me @10:30 in Gateway.                                    --10/22/25--6:34am--

This weekend was a doozy. A lovely Friday was spent doing almost no work being done with JJ and Sammy. Saturday Sedge, Jason and, I volunteered for the EWFA and it was a silly joyous time where I got to have conversations with people who only spoke French and allow kids to fish around for eyeballs in the slop jar (slope was red- very mooly coded). After volunteering Sam joined Maddie, my parents and me for a truly embarrassing Syracuse football performance. Once leaving the game in the third quarter I received a call from Sam telling me he was going to Shredfield (betrayal), I went snoozy asap. Felt bad for Cam having to stay for the whole game and all. Sunday I stayed in bed till 9:00 (disgusting never doing it again) and then me and Maddie went to the beak and skiff apple orchard (exciting) then to Destiny mall to the Carhartt store to trade in some Carhartt's that didn't fit me (you all will be hearing more about this- I'm conflicted over it), then to Cheescake Factory (Maddie's choice not mine), then Maddie's alternator broke (very bad) and we had to wait for the AAA mechanic and then the tow truck. BUT THEN in a shiny light wrought by Zeus himself there comes Tuohy in his shining stead to carry us home (forever grateful). I then allowed Maddie to shear me to make her feel better. I love seeing everyone's blogs there all far more beautiful than mine and I will link to them somewhere on this site (probably home page) and love getting to read about what everyone is up to. Jelly of Sam and Eliot's forestry club trip and excited to hear cam's rock poem and can't wait to see Sedge's marsh creatures. Watched Edward Scissorhands last night for the first time, it was beautiful and with 10 minutes left in the movie Maddie looks up from her phone and says, "why he got scissor hands". Looks like a lovely week of my second favorite weather coming up (not sarcastic) COLD and WET. National weather service says that those unlucky few that live on Redfield will be washed downstream. The long weekend was good and it was very good to see the family and the animals. Also visited Labrador Hollow- I think I'm going to spend a lot of time skiing there during the winter and maybe even do some really bad ice climbing at the falls. Plants of CNY class was all about ecosystem not specific plants which was cool but also old news. The guy that led it was kinda who I want to be "Don Faber Langendoen" . Me and Sam got to geek out about gear for a while yesterday which was sick. I bought a pair of boots from keen and then returned them cause they were awfully mid- have since ordered a new pair that hopefully sucks less. I've got so big ideas I'm scheming about some fire eco stuff so at some point I'm gonna need to go to Vandy's office hours. I made a ton of broccoli cheddar soup with gnocchi and italian sauage -- 10/16/25--11:47am
