I'm a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich's Department of Finance. I completed my PhD in Management and Economics in 2019 at the University of Zurich.
My research interests include sustainable and inclusive finance, the digital economy, and broader development economics.
Prior to returning to academia, I served in the U.S. Peace Corps and was a senior research analyst at Acumen working on U.S. social and health policy. Since 2014, I've been responsible for developing and maintaining a global wage database for the Fair Wage Network. I've engaged in research collaborations with the Center for Financial Inclusion at Accion, Innovations for Poverty Action, and Women's World Banking, among others.
I have received research funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) (Grant # 100011_150304), Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) (for their "Consumer Protection Research Initiative", as a sub-grant from the Gates Foundation), Data.org (as an awardee of the "2020: Inclusive Growth and Recovery Challenge" and as a sub-grant from the Mastercard Foundation's Center for Inclusive Growth and the Rockefeller Foundation), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and DAI Global for their "Equitable AI Challenge", the University of Zurich’s Foundation for Research in Science and the Humanities (Grant #F-61811-04-01), and the Schwyzer Winiker Foundation.
