NETWORK ANALYSIS
NETWORK ANALYSIS
Fire Station Network Location-Allocation Model
Network routing is a common type of network analysis, and a subset of network routing is location-allocation routing, where least-cost paths, based on demand weight, are created along a network in order to allocate resources. In this project six datasets were either downloaded or created, various geoprocessing tasks were carried out on them, and then four Network Location-Allocation Models were generated from that data. That data is represented in four tables and three maps, with one workflow diagram used to illustrate methodology. This project successfully determined least-costs paths based on demand weight for emergency services in the Arcata, CA, fire districts.
