Jon B - Comfortable Swagg (2012)

Comfortable Swagg is the seventh studio album by American R&B singer-songwriter Jon B. It was released on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2012, independently by his own label Vibezelect Inc. The album features a guest appearance by rapper DJ Quik and production by Jon B himself and Adonis Shropshire. The album spawned two singles and videos: the title track and "Only One".

The album is notable for being Jon B's first recording without marketing, promotion and distribution from a major label. His last two recordings, Stronger Everyday and Helpless Romantic, were released on smaller labels, but still had promotion and distribution from Sony BMG and Universal Music Group's Fontana Distribution, respectively. Although Comfortable Swagg was released in 2012, a couple of the songs on the album were recorded as early as 2009. An unfinished version of "Fill Your Cup" was leaked to the internet in May 2010 without a second verse from DJ Quik.

The album received mixed reviews from critics and fans. Some praised Jon B's vocals, songwriting and production skills, while others criticized the album's lack of cohesion, originality and mainstream appeal. The album sold poorly compared to his previous releases, peaking at number 184 on the US Billboard 200 chart and number 40 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. However, Jon B expressed his satisfaction with the album's creative freedom and artistic integrity, stating that he wanted to make music that he felt comfortable with and that reflected his swag.
