JoJo's Bizarre Adventure[a] is a fighting video game developed by Capcom based on Hirohiko Araki's manga of the same title. The game was developed by the same team who was responsible for the Street Fighter III series.

Gameplay in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure follows most basic fighting games, in which two fighters battle against each other using a variety of attacks, techniques, and special moves to deplete their opponent's health bar. A super meter which increases as fighters deal and receive damage can be used to perform character-specific super moves.

The initial arcade release of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure was December 1998. An English-translated version was released in Asia under the shortened title of JOJO's Venture, which predates the officially licensed English adaptations of the original manga and anime (hence the name change). It was followed by a fully revised version titled JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future, released on September 1999, which featured eight additional playable characters. An English version that was released in Europe is simply titled JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, the original Japanese title.

Alex Rhoades of GameZone gave the HD versions a score of six out of ten, saying that the game "had a chance to shine for its 25th anniversary. Unfortunately the exorbitant price combined with the niche market appeal will doom it from the start. Although the gameplay is nearly untouched from the Dreamcast version, only huge fans of the manga will likely pick this game up."[48] However, Joe Walker of Push Square gave the PS3 version five stars out of ten, saying, "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD Ver. is tragic in a way, because while the game itself is still solid and fun to play, there's just too little on offer to justify the price tag."[49]

Jojo's Venture is a one-on-one fighting game based upon the long-running Jojo's Bizarre Adventure manga series by Hirohiko Araki.

This game adapts Part 3 of the series, Stardust Crusaders. Jotaro Kujo, grandson of Jonathan Joestar, the protagonist of the first two Parts of the series, develops a Stand, which is a spiritual manifestation of his fighting series. He locks himself in jail, believing himself to be possessed, until he is manipulated into leaving by his grandfather, Joseph Joestar. Shortly after, Joseph explains that Dio Brando, the man who attempted to destroy the Joestar family two generations ago, has returned to take revenge upon the Joestar family and it's up to the Joestars to find and defeat him.

The game is a one-on-one fighter, similar in gameplay to most of Capcom's other fighting games. In this game, however, you can call upon your Stand to access an entirely different set of normal attacks and gain additional defense and offensive bonuses. Your Stand's power is not infinite, however - if you take enough damage, it'll break, leaving you open to a devastating counter attack. Every character's Stand has their own special powers which can be used to your advantage.

The game features eight selectable fighters (six heroes and two villains), plus three hidden characters. Other notable villains from the series are also in the game, as unplayable mini bosses.

A fighting game based on the manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Hirohiko Araki's much-influential, now largest-running Shueisha publication ridden with pop culture references, posture-deteriorating poses, and eye-catching action. It's not based on the manga overall though, only its third arc "Stardust Crusaders", due to the fact that it was the most popular arc.

A single frame of an idle animation for the unplayable character Hol Horse, one of the mercenaries in the manga that DIO sent to kill JoJo's group. This was later used when he became playable in Bizarre Adventure.

The standard "Recycle it, don't trash it!" and "Winners Don't Use Drugs" screens can be viewed in the BG TEST, but they're not used in the US version of the game. They were both taken out of Bizarre Adventure, which had no US release anyway.
