Expected Time Commitment:

6 hours per month

What you would be involved in?

  • To deliver training courses and conduct assessments to a consistent and fair standard in accordance with Excel EMS or Awarding Body requirements

  • To maintain current competence and continuous personal development, in accordance with the education department requirements

  • To promote Excel EMS products and services, as appropriate

  • To work with permanent staff, casual workers and volunteers to maintain a high standard of training and assessing

  • To maintain a high standard of training and delivery equipment. Report any faults or damage to equipment through the required processes when they occur

  • To ensure that all equipment used, is cleaned and stored in accordance with procedures

  • Accurate completion and prompt submission of all relevant course documentation

  • To be responsible for custody, maintenance and transport of personal equipment

  • To be responsible for the cleanliness and security of the training venue (including refreshment areas), including prompt collection and return of keys to premises where required

  • To arrive in good time, to prepare the training room and greet students

  • To liaise, on arrival, with in-company contacts to ensure smooth running of the course

  • To work within the Excel EMS health and safety, training and other policies and procedures as implemented within the organisation

  • To pilot new initiatives in training when required

  • To perform any other duties commensurate with these responsibilities and the skills and qualifications of the post holder.

  • An enthusiasm for the work of Excel EMS and an appreciation of our values

  • Someone who has an interest in first aid and related topics

  • Someone with a recognised trainer and/or assessor qualification

  • Someone who has good communication skills, especially with the students and the public

  • Someone who is able to work as part of a team

  • Willing to undertake training relevant to role

  • Be physically fit for role.
